Jason Mayfield
Jason grew up on horse ranches in Tennessee and Texas, and has been working with animals all his life. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science. After deciding to study dog training, he earned formal certification at Texas Dog Training, and later founded and currently owns a full service pet resort in Willis, Texas. Jason's life-long experience has allowed him to establish relationships with animals based on trust and respect. He has studied under diverse clinicians and trainers to broaden his understanding of training techniques. Over the years, he has developed a passion for exotic animals. Jason regularly exhibits his zebras and camels at movie premieres, charity events, parades and educational venues, and is a professional behavioral and training consultant for zebra owners, zoos and wildlife parks.
Sammi Jo Sheedy
Raised on a working horse and cattle ranch in Eastern Oregon, Sammi Jo grew up doing wildlife rehab, and has worked with a variety of animals, including birds of prey, antelope, deer, elk and badgers. She has been a professional animal trainer and horse clinician for more than ten years, and has performed with her zebras and trick horses at clinics, community events, state fairs and rodeos. Sammi Jo has authored numerous articles on equine and dog training, and has been a guest on the nationally syndicated radio program, The Horse Show with rick Lamb, discussing her work with trick horses and zebras. In 2006, she relocated to Texas to form a partnership with Jason Mayfield, focusing on zebra training.
